Bio
I graduated from Georgetown Law School in Washington, D.C. in 1990. Since then, I retained my first client over twenty-two years ago after I was a law associate in a 400-plus size law firm in Chicago, Illinois. Three years later, I was admitted to practice law in the State of California where I was an associate for prestigious law firms before moving to Florida.
In 1997, I passed the Florida Bar (which is my third State Bar) and started the practice I have today. I have built my practice upon specialties like personal and consumer litigation, business and bankruptcy law, corporate litigation and real estate law and closings. As a sole practitioner, I handle all aspects of my clients’ cases, from the initial interview to preparing all legal documents and discovery to attending all court hearings and deposition. My clients range from all spectrum of economic classes, from those closing on multi-million dollar transactions to those filing for bankruptcy. I have handled cases all over South Florida from my Pompano Beach office.
Since 2002, I have served as a Traffic Court Hearing Officer for Broward County Courts. I take great pride in that I am legally subjected to a higher standard of ethics than most attorneys. In addition, I am also a Certified Arbitrator for Broward County Courts. Also, I was the former Chairman of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee in which I voluntarily served for three years. I have also been the former President or board member of many legal organizations, including the North Broward Bar Association and the Broward County Women’s Lawyer Association. I am also admitted to practice in the United States District Court in Florida, California and Illinois, as well as the Federal Court of Appeals for various Circuits.
On a personal note, I am married to a local school teacher and I am a proud mother of five. I am also very active in the Community. I was the former President of the Pompano Piranhas Swim Team for three years and am a current board member. I am currently the President of the Pompano Beach Junior Lifeguard Association.
